Product Review Madness: June 2015

This is a great piece to have especially if you have several devices you charge in one place. For me it was my nightstand. At any given time I have something charging and often had multiple devices charging at once. This led to a messy nightstand! All those chargers plugged into a surge protector with charging cables going every which direction. UGH! BUT with this my nightstand is much neater and just all around easier to keep everything neat. I charge 2 cell phones, my blue tooth device, and my portable charger pack. If you have those really short mini USB cables it's even better with keeping things neat so I use three of those and one longer one. Because this is a smart charger it automatically recognizes what current each device needs and charges at that. Because of this you get the best and most efficient charge per device. Another great feature is the little stand on the front that will hold a device up while it's charging. This way you can charge an Ipad or Kindle or other tablet and while it's charging you can watch your movies or whatever. I really like the look of it and it doesn't take up much space so it's great in that respect also.

I don't have anything negative to say about this little battery pack! I've used portable battery packs, the small cylindrical ones, before and they are fine in a pinch. They do what they say, give extra power when you need it. So having used those before I wasn't expecting major power or charging speed from this one. I was wrong! First out of the box I liked the way it looked and felt. It's heavier than I expected but once I checked it out that isn't really an issue that makes me want to not use it.
First I'll talk about the light feature on this. I love it! I can now keep extra phone juice and a light in my purse, and I use a small side sling purse so space is an issue. The night I got this we actually had a power outage and I was surprised at the light it puts out. In a pinch when you have nothing this light is great. To access the light you have to hold the power button down for three seconds. I like this as it should help deter the light getting turned on inside my purse or wherever it's stored hence draining the power. So since you have to hold this button down for three seconds I don't foresee that as a problem. So another plus for this little gadget!
On to the charging ability. I have a Nokia Lumia. I did a quick charge test and got about 2% per minute! In approx five minutes I got 6% charge. That's better than other pocket chargers I've used. Also the pack itself charged fairly quickly in comparison to the others I've used. It's great to not have to wait forever for a slower charger! And I like that it has a 4led light setup so you can see how much life is left in the battery pack. You don't have to guess if it's ready to go or not! All in all I love this.
Only issue that really isn't an issue for me is the size/weight. It is a little larger than the smaller cylindrical chargers. But the power you get makes this a flimsy reason to not want this! I use a small side sling purse and this easily fits into the smallest front pocket. I didn't notice the extra weight either. While holding this and my Nokia cell with silicone and plastic housing case they feel virtually the same weight.
